This is the roof line for my house. That is a tree in the front yard. There are more, lots more in the back yard and across the fence. The fence is the property line between my yard and the school yard. When you have big trees like this, and get 50+ mile an hour winds, you get this......
Branches and bramble 6-8 feet long are scattered all over the yard. Plus a lot of small stuff, ends and pieces. You may have noticed the roof is also covered in small stuff and lots of needles. Needles rain down in the wind.
The larger branches slumped up against the fence, are on the school yard side. We use to get the big ones coming down in a wind storm as well. until we had the the bottom 20 feet of limbs removed. As a point of reference, the bottom 20 feet started at 50 or 60 feet off the ground.
Some how the weeding does not seem like such a big project anymore!
As always thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate your visits and your comments.

Ok, that's it. Come to Phoenix. The weather is gorgeous right now but you won't be too happy with it in about another month. Love your bog ol trees!
OMG! I thought you had been in my yard taking pictures. Mine really is worse if that makes you feel any better. Hey, the snow is gone that's all I care about for now.
We even had lots of rain in the Okanagan. Ever since I moved here everyone keeps telling me "it never rains in sunny Okanagan"....not true, but at least lot less then we were used to in Vancouver.
"Rain, rain, go away, make it a sunny day"! Wow, the winds must be really strong to have pulled a stunt like that! Hope you'll wake up to a sunny morning tomorrow.
Oh yes.. thank you for your reply regarding the 'a cooks wisdom'... silly me.. got you now! :)
Better hang on. At least you'll have lots of limbs for brush piles this summer.
Whew! That is a lot of rain! We have actually been have tons of rain here too.
I wanted to let you know that I made your chicken paprika recipe for my family last night and we really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Wow, 30 days of rain in 32? Vancouver is living up to it's stereotype! :o)
32 Days of rain? You guys must be sloshing around. Is sloshing a word? LOL Come to Phx. We have great weather right now!!
I can't imagine all that rain!! Thanks for linking up!
Here in the WNC mountains, we've been having a lot of rain too. And snow. And wind. I still have mixed feelings about the season called spring. But I just traipse on out in spite of it rather than fretting. Like you.
We also have high winds and brutal weather that does a lot of damage to our property. Not fun, but I am looking forward to it improving soon!
I amended the post on rhubarb to explain why you could see the little buds - I had removed the mulch to lay down more compost over the new growth. the buds should be aboput 2 inches below the surface.
I live further down the West Coast (California) and its been raining here too - althought I dont think as much as it is in your area. I can't wait for spring sunshine :)
